hi all,
here are a couple of pics from last week, taken in Weiden in der Oberpfalz, Eastern Bayern, Germany.
The conditions were not perfect and to make things worse the primary mirror, 30 minutes after i took out the scope, was covered with condense, which froze!! I immediately directed the mirror towards the sun, the condense disappeared but then it was dirty!!
What can I do to avoid this?

Hi,

Finally after a long wet and windy winter came an opportunity for some spotting, so decided to make the most of it and take the telescope south of my home location near Dorchester. There is quite a lot of movement here which I normally see from home but is usually back lit by the sun and too low for contrails. However on this day all of the ingredients were there - contrails formed at FL260 and at times conditions were some of the best I've ever seen, with gaps between the clouds for added contrast.
